TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A mother’s instinct to save her eight puppies brought them all to loving homes today.
We first brought you the story over a month ago.
Momma, Jersey, had buried her puppies in a local park under some mulch to protect them from the cold, then she went for help.
An employee of a nearby bar was leaving work and followed the mom’s nudge for assistance. It brought her to the puppies who ended up at the Terre Haute Humane Society.
A Facebook post from the humane society helped the pups go viral.
We talked with one new proud owner today.
“The first time I saw the Facebook post that the humane society had posted and I knew that they were definitely special because of their mom and they were lead to the right place and they were taken here and they were saved and now they’re going to find good homes,” Hailey Walden said.
Over 30 applicants came in for the eight puppies.
Staff at the humane society say the puppies were selected for their best matched home.
