SW Parke Community School Administration learned of the child exploitation from a DCS report on September 30.
The release states that following a criminal investigation, it was determined that a 35-year-old female teacher at a Southwest Parke Community School Corporation school had a lengthy sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student of the same school corporation.
Investigators learned that the teacher in question had resigned from her position on Thursday, October 3.
Parke County Deputies have concluded the investigation after determining the alleged sexual conduct took place in Vigo County. The Parke County case report has now been forwarded to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department.
