VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An Illinois man was killed Saturday morning after his vehicle crashed into a tree in western Vigo County.
According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department, 56-year-old Raymond Rybka of Orland Park, Ill., was traveling on US Hwy 150 near Libertyville, Ind., when his car left the roadway and crashed into a tree, splitting the vehicle in half.
The crash is still under investigation, and authorities said they do not yet know why the vehicle left the roadway or if drugs or alcohol played a factor.
