Sakbun: 2025 was a ‘strong year’ for construction in Terre Haute

Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun reported a 37% increase in residential construction permits, an 8% increase in commercial permits, and a 34% increase in right-of-way permits in 2025, along with a 50% increase in demolition and blight-reduction efforts, and a population increase of 243 residents.
