VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Good Samaritan Hospital is hosting a men’s wellness fair on October 7th.
There will be two different times people can go to get health screenings and tests done. The first is from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the other is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It will be located at Highland Woods Community Center, and its address is 1377 S. Hart Street in Vincennes.
Men can get blood draws done, get their blood pressure checked and much more. Good Samaritan and other local health partners will have informational tables as well. Tiffany Conover is the Marketing Director of Good Samaritan said they do this event because it can be a way for men to get their health checked without a doctor’s appointment.
“This is a really huge benefit to the men in our community because we feel like a lot of these men that are coming are using this as an annual checkup to get their cholesterol numbers checked or check their blood pressure,” Conover said. “This is actually kind of one of our busiest events that we do.”
There will be several booths like Psych Residency, Oncology, Cardiology and Cardiac Rehab, along with several more from the hospital for people to check out while they are at the wellness fair. Some of the local partners from that area that will be there will include YMCA of Vincennes, Knox County CASA, the Knox County Health Department, and more.
