This Holiday Season, we’re teaming up with the Adams Garage and Terre Haute Humane Society to help 25 precious pups find warm, cozy, forever homes—just in time for Christmas!
Starting December 1st, we’ll unwrap a new furry friend each day!

Day 1 – Stitch
Stitch says let’s do this! Let’s get outside and have some fun! Stitch has a lively personality and is an active young pooch who loves playing outdoors and going for hikes. This smart boy is very alert and focused. He listens well, knows sit and shake and is ready to learn more. He is house-trained and well-behaved indoors. And if you’re looking for some cuddle-time here’s your furry snuggle buddy. Stitch says no to other dogs, cats or small kids, but he says yes to soft, plush toys. Stitch is excited about life and is looking forward to new adventures with you!
If interested in adopting one of our guests, Adoptions INCLUDE: Spay or Neuter, Worming, Vaccinations (excluding rabies), Microchip, Free Vet visit at Participating Offices, 30 Days of Health Insurance provided by PetHealth (some restrictions apply). Adoption Fees may vary, but our standard fees are: Cats $85 and Dogs $125. We offer Discounts on Senior Animals and Special Needs Animals. We also offer special incentives for Seniors and Military.
If you aren’t able to adopt a dog this holiday season, that’s okay too! There are other ways you can help the very good boys and girls at the Terre Haute Humane Shelter.

- Baby food (preferably Ham flavored to help feed newborn kittens and puppies)
- Baby Shampoo
- Bath towels, hand towels, washcloths (these do not have to be new)
- Bedding; ideal bedding includes bath towels and small flannel/fleece blankets
- Bleach (Non-scented, please)
- Cat litter and litter boxes (Large and Small)
- Dawn Dishwashing soap – (used to clean dog kennels and bathe animals)
- Poop Scoops
- Dry Dog/cat food (At THHS, we feed Purina Complete (dog, puppy, cat, kitten))
- Wet Dog/Puppy & Dog grain free wet can food
- Cat can pate food and grain free for cats
- Dog/Cat toys – the sturdier the better such as Kong and Nylabones. No catnip, please.
- Flea medication (Advantage II, Capstar, etc) for dogs and cats. No Hartz or Sargeant
- Heartworm Medication (i.e. Heartgard)
- Gift cards (gas, pet stores, Walmart, etc.)
- Money is always appreciated
- Kong Chew Toys – For enrichment and mental stimulation.
- Laundry soap and detergent (Liquid is preferred)
- Q tips
- Paper Towels
- Stainless Steel bowls
- Office supplies (manilla folders, two-pocket folders red and blue, copy paper or gift cards to office supply stores, ink pens blue or black, highlighters green, pink and yellow, black sharpies, dry erase markers, post-it notes)
- Stuffed animals (new or used)
- Scrub Jackets (any size)
- Dog leashes/Harnesses (any size)
- Hand can openers
- Pinesol – Lysol Cleaner/Spray
- Windex – window cleaner
- Air freshener
- Clorox or Lysol disinfectant wipes
