FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Businesses and organizations nationwide and right here in the Wabash Valley will honor Veterans Monday by offering discounts and freebies.
Most businesses require proof of military service for redemption. Not all locations participate. For more information contact the company or organization directly.
Below we’ve compiled a list of businesses offering free and discounted services for Veterans Day 2024. This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change. We will continue to add to the list. For official rules and details contact the company.
- Applebees
- Enjoy Our Most Popular Entrées – For FREE lunch or dinner, Veterans can choose between some of our most popular entrées: Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, 6 oz. Top Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platters, Double Crunch Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Oriental Chicken Salad, and Three-Cheese Chicken Penne.
- Not only do Veterans eat free, but they’ll also receive a $5 Bounce Back card for a future visit within a 3-week redemption window.
- Bob Evans
- Bob Evans is honored to provide a comforting meal for free to all veterans and active-duty military on Monday, November 11th. The special 2024 Veterans Day menu features a selection of 10 delicious entrees, ranging from the Country Biscuit Breakfast to Brioche French Toast and more, available all day long for dine-in only.
- Casey’s General Stores
- Casey’s is offering complimentary coffee or fountain drinks of any size to all veterans.
- The same offer can be redeemed year-round by active-duty military personnel and on-duty uniformed first responders, including law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
- Denny’s
- Monday, November 11, 2024, free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon. The iconic favorite, featuring two delicious and fluffy buttermilk pancakes, two crispy strips of Denny’s new and improved thicker, crispier applewood smoked bacon, two all-pork sausage links, and two eggs cooked to order, will be served dine-in only.
- Elite Smiles Dental
- On Friday, November 8 Elite Smiles is hosting ‘Smiles for Freedom.’ It’s a free dental event for Veterans of the Wabash Valley. Veterans must make an appointment to attend at 812-232-6654.
- Golden Corral
- All active, and retired military members and veterans can get a free dinner from 4 p.m. until closing.
- The Military Appreciation Night promotion is valid for active and former military members only. It does not extend to spouses, friends, or other family members. The offer is for dine-in only.
- IHOP
- Veterans and active-duty military personnel can get a free stack of red, white, and blueberry pancakes at IHOP from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 11.
- Indiana Department of Natural Resources
- All veterans and active-duty military personnel, and everyone in their vehicle, will be admitted free to DNR-managed state parks, reservoir properties, state forest recreation areas, and off-road state recreation areas on Veterans Day, Monday, November, 11.
- This includes admission to Falls of the Ohio State Park’s Interpretive Center.
- Kroger
- On Monday, November 11, current and retired members of military service can receive a 10% discount by presenting a valid military ID when shopping in-store. Some exclusions apply. Must use Rewards Card or Shopper’s Card to earn reward.
- Little Caesars
On Monday, November 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., veterans and active military members can receive a complimentary Lunch Combo, which includes four slices of Little Caesars famous Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi beverage. - Starbucks
- This Veterans Day – Nov. 11, 2024 – Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee (hot or iced) for Veterans, military service members, and military spouses at participating U.S. Starbucks stores and licensed locations.
- In addition, Starbucks is donating $200,000, shared evenly, to the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project to support the Veteran and military communities.
- Texas Roadhouse
- Texas Roadhouse will continue its annual Veterans Day tradition of treating veterans and active U.S. military to enjoy a free meal. On Monday, Nov. 11, every Texas Roadhouse location will distribute meal vouchers, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Proof of service is required and includes military or VA card, or discharge papers.
- Vouchers can be redeemed through May 31, 2025, for one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/iced tea, or coffee.
- Wings Etc. Grill & Pub
- Free entrée, valued up to $13.99, to all active-duty personnel and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces in honor of Veterans Day, as a token of appreciation for their sacrifice and service.
