BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Clay County YMCA celebrated the 25th anniversary of its current building on Friday.
The organization showed appreciation to members with item giveaways and membership promotions.
Executive Branch Director Kaylee Maffioli said the Clay County YMCA has added new programming over the last few years with a goal of having offerings for everybody and said that the membership base has also grown over the years.
During Friday’s celebrations, the organization also held a fundraiser with a goal of raising $5,000 to support operations at the building.
“This building needs a ton of love because it is 25 years old, so this is going directly into operations where we’re getting new dummbells and other weight equipment. We want to update the locker room. We just want kind of spruce up some stuff that’s had 25 years of love in this building,” said Kaylee Maffioli, the Executive Branch Director.
