SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)—The community can enjoy the Brew Que and Wine Too Festival, which will take place on October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sullivan Civic Center.
Chris Gentry with the Sullivan County Civic Foundation joined David and Jen live in the studio to talk about what to expect at this year’s festival including beer & wine, live music, a BBQ contest, food trucks, vendors, kids’ activities, and more. Brandy Gentry, a Literacy Coach at Sullivan Elementary School talked with David and Jen about how this event helps get teachers throughout Sullivan County trained in Orten Gillingham a Science of Reading method to teaching. Watch the video below to hear Brandy discuss the Science of Reading and the importance of getting teachers trained. The foundation’s long-term goal is to provide free tutoring for all Sullivan County students struggling to read by compensating tutors.
