CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers near Carbon who travel along State Road 59 will soon see road crews as bridge maintenance gets underway.
According to INDOT, crews will be utilizing alternating lane closures to provide workers room to handle bridge maintenance over a CSX railroad.
The portion of the road to be affected is between County Road 1450 N and County Road 1400 N.
Work is expected to last until late September, weather permitting.
“INDOT encourages all drivers to use caution and keep worker safety top-of-mind while traveling through this and all other work zones,” a news release reads.
