TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Fire crews were dispatched to a fire at the old Honey Creek Collision building on West Johnson Drive in Terre Haute Sunday night.

Honey Creek Fire Chief Tom High reported that when firefighters arrived they saw flames surrounding a gas meter. Chief High said crews arrived on scene at 10:59 p.m. and “completed” on scene by 12:51 a.m.
Chief High reported that no one was in the building at the time of the fire, and that no injuries resulted from the call.
“We got lucky in the sense that it put moderate smoke in the facility, and the flames damaged one wall,” Chief High said when discussing the damage to the building.
A cause of the fire is still under investigation by fire investigators and CenterPoint energy officials.
