PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Greencastle man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after local authorities responded to a single-vehicle wreck.
According to a Parke County Sheriff’s Office release, the wreck occurred when “a 2009 gray Honda passenger car failed to navigate the curve and ran off the road into a tree line.” The report came in around 12:45 a.m. on December 30 at the Lyford S Curves in Parke County.
The driver was identified as Randy K. Salman, 72, of Greencastle. Salman was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was taken to the Parke County Jail and held on $8000 bond.
Indiana court records indicate that Salman later bonded out paying the 10% cash option of $800.
Salman faces a class C misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to at least .08 but less than .15.
Salman is next due in Parke County Circuit Court on January 22 for a hearing.
