TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Reach Services hosted their second annual Power Wheels Nationals on Sunday.
This is an event where kids can come out and race their very own vehicles. There were trophies and prizes given out to the winners of each division.
The divisions were split up by types of vehicle and age.
The purpose of this event was to raise money for the reach services children’s therapy clinic.
Travis Phillips, operations director for Reach Services, says the true purpose of this event.
“Kids, regardless of what their limitation may be, love to get in a vehicle and just spend the day with their friends. So that’s really what this is yes, we do have winners, but I think for most of the kids it’s just about getting out and having fun.”
