FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – As crews work around the region to restore power amid forecasts of more severe weather on the way, some local Independence Day fireworks celebrations are being rescheduled. We will continue updating this story as we learn of more postponements, cancellations or rescheduled observances this holiday weekend.
Sullivan fireworks:
Festival update: Due to the forecast of another storm moving in tonight and for your safety, tonight’s fireworks have been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday July 15th. Since we have had 3” of rain in the last 24 hrs, we don’t have anywhere to park cars that they won’t get hung up and without tearing up our golf course and fields. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but hope you will return to celebrate with us on July 15th at dusk.
In addition to this,
the K-9 Demonstration has also been cancelled. Party On Productions will begin momentarily. The decorated golf cart parade and the band is still on. Thank you for your understanding.
West Union Independence Day Celebration:
Due to the weather, everything has been rescheduled to July 4
