TERRE Haute, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – As power crews work to restore electricity around the region, including hard-hit Terre Haut/Vigo County, a respite center has been opened to help residents with some basic needs like charging phones and getting snacks. The Red Cross in partnership with Vigo County will open a respite center in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday, July 1 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. This is in response to the power outages caused by the recent storm.

Residents will be able to charge their phones and equipment and get water and snacks.
