Event organizer Baley Halberstadt was live Wednesday morning on WTWO TODAY. You can see the full interview above.
Terre Haute, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – The first Wine on the Wabash event of 2023 will take place on Saturday, June 24, from 6:00-11:00 p.m. EDT at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute.
“Things got a little interrupted with COVID, so we’re on our 4th year of the event at Fairbanks Park,” explains event organizer Baley Halberstadt. “When Wine on the Wabash began, we were looking to bring our great local wineries and community together for an evening of music and celebration.”
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Admission for kids 12 and under is free. Online ticket sales will stop at 2:00 p.m. on the day of the show but you will be able to purchase tickets at the gate.
“It’s such a fun evening. Of course, there is delicious local wine from four wineries, but we’re also excited to have craft beer as well. Plus, we’re expecting six food trucks to be onsite with tasty BBQ, Italian Beef, burgers, and more. We’ll also have some of our sponsors onsite with booths handing out goodies and doing a few activities,” says Halberstadt.
Doors open at 5pm and music begins at 6. No coolers or outside food or alcohol is allowed but again, organizers say they have lots of great options for you inside. Feel free to bring blankets and lawn chairs!
“The highlight of the evening will be the bands, with Tom Petty & Fleetwood Mac cover bands along with acoustic openers Paul & McCartney. We actually had these two headliners a few years ago and it was our highest attended event, so we thought since everyone loved them, we’d bring them back for another round!”
The next Wine on the Wabash (following this weekend’s event) will be on August 19 and advanced tickets are on sale for that event as well.
