KINGMAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Kingman community is mourning the loss of two residents after a house fire Wednesday.
“My heart does break for any of the friends and family of them.”
The Parke County Coroner confirmed that 51-year-old Bonnie Coss and 70-year-old Sally Waggoner were the two found dead in the home.
Several fire crews responded to calls of a structure fire Wednesday evening. Once the fire was under control, crews discovered their bodies.
The cause of death of the mother and daughter remains under investigation. The Indiana State Fire Marshal Office is conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
Kingman is a town with less than 600 souls meaning that any loss is tough on the community.
A longtime Kingman resident who wished to remain anonymous said that compared the town to a big family.
“In a small community like this it’s usually a close knit family type environment and it is sad to lose a member of that family.”
The cause of the remains under investigation.
