VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Fire investigators are looking for the public’s help in attempting to solve a suspected arson in Vincennes.
According to the Indiana State Fire Marshal, first responders were called to an apartment in the 1300 block of N 4th Street in Vincennes on Friday for an apartment fire.
A witness reported seeing a male enter the apartment and set several fires before fleeing the building. Investigators said there was a possibility the same person was outside the apartment earlier in the day.
Firefighters were able to contain the damage to a single apartment, and no injuries have been reported as a result of the situation.
Investigators ask anyone with information about the fire to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628. Callers can remain anonymous and a reward may be available if a tip leads to an arrest and conviction.
