TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute city officials hope a new app that is in the works will help residents report issues they notice around the city.
Mayor Duke Bennett says the 311 system receives about 175 calls a day. Now a 311 App is being developed to make it easier for people to report issues.
The mayor says the hope is to have it rolled out by mid to late summer.
“If you’re able to observe something across the alley from your house or in front of your house or by your work, take a picture of that, send it to us, give us the location, and we’ll see exactly what you’re talking about and you won’t have to go through the phone call part.”

The mayor said in addition to the app, residents will still be able to report issues through phone or email if they prefer.
