TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center has decided to remain temporarily closed for the month of January to ensure the safety of the visitors and staff, Leah Simpson, Executive Director of the museum, announced Tuesday. She said the decision was in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases.
Simpson added that the museum does not currently have a reopen date, and apologized for any inconvenience. She said CANDLES will continue to monitor state guidelines and recommendations from local health officials as it evaluates the safest way to reopen.
