TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Event season is approaching for the Vigo County Fairgrounds and with that comes some needed TLC for the property. Around 25 volunteers came out Saturday to help spruce up the facilities. The volunteers helped by painting the Banquet Hall, power washing the cattle barns, and trimming trees.
It was all part of the Fairgrounds’ ‘Beautification’ Day, which happens a couple of times each year. Everyone is able to participate.
“People are welcome to come down here and walk, and use it to their leisure, so it’s nice to be able to have volunteers come down here and help us get things cleaned up and keep the property looking nice,” Jenny Hamilton, Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Wabash Valley Fair Association said.
