TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local coffee shop is building up their regulars in a whole new way.
Holly and Craig Little own Java Haute. They’re delivering bags of coffee, toast, muffins and other goods to hospital staff.
The Littles say it’s important to help health care workers at both Regional and Union hospitals during this trying time. They want others to know there’s something they too can do to help.
“We’ve been writing messages on the boxes, like uplifting, trying to keep their spirits up because we know this is going to be a trying to for them and anything we can do to lift their spirits is very important and i think that is what has meant the most to them,” Holly Little said.
“I think it’s really important right now that we band together and support each other and a lot of what we’re trying to do online and social media is to talk about the practices we can do to slow the number of people who need to go to the hospital in the first place. So we’re focusing on the prevention piece, so we should also be talking about what we can do when they’re flooded with people at the hospital,” Craig Little said.
