TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Last month we told you about Jersey, the mother to eight puppies, who used her instinct to protect her puppies by burying them in mulch in a local park before going to find help.
A local bartender, followed Jersey to that park and carried her and her newborn puppies to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
She now has a forever home.
Shane White adopted Jersey and she said she couldn’t be more excited.
“Today when I realized she could come home, I don’t know that I can describe it. But I’m happy. We are happy. My family and I are very happy to give her a better life,” White said.
Jersey and all of her puppies have now found new homes here in the valley.
