According to Indiana State Police, Austin J. Sedletzeck, 27, ran from the scene after his truck rear-ended another vehicle at the State Road 641 bypass south of Interstate 70.
When Sedletzeck was found, an ISP trooper said he showed signs of impairment. Upon further investigation, it was determined he had a blood alcohol contect of .29%.
Several children were also found in Sedletzeck’s vehicle. They were released to their mother.
Sedletzeck was arrested on several charges included operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 18 and neglect of a dependent.
He was transported to the Vigo County Jail pending posting of bond.
