KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An Illinois man was arrested Saturday in Knox County after stealing a vehicle and fleeing from police.
According to Indiana State Police, Vincennes City Police tried to stop John Koonce of Bridgeport, IL, Saturday afternoon for driving a stolen 1995 GMC Sonoma.
Koonce then led police on a chase before driving off the roadway into a wet field and then fleeing on foot once the vehicle became stuck.
Koonce eventually surrendered to police and was taken to the Knox Co. Jail where he’s facing two felony charges and three misdemeanors.
