TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three juveniles were sent to the hospital early Wednesday morning after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department responded to the wreck at Flesher Avenue and Dogwood Street near Seelyville where a vehicle struck a tree, rolled over and caught fire.
According to Sheriff John Plasse, there were four occupants in the vehicle, all 15 and younger. Everyone made it out before the fire started; however three were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries, Plasse said.
While on scene, deputies learned the crashed vehicle was reported stolen out of Terre Haute.
The sheriff’s department and Terre Haute Police Department are working together on the ongoing investigation.
