TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Community members gathered to plant one-hundred trees in one hour.
Trees Inc. representatives put together the event to make the Wabash Valley a more scenic town.
The corporation gathered over one-hundred volunteers from local colleges such as: Indiana State University, Saint Mary-Of-The-Woods, and Rose Hulman.
“Trees are so important for obvious reasons and this Linear Arboretum has signs to say what kind of trees are here,” Vice President of Tree Projects for Trees Inc., Brian Conley said.
Around fifteen different types of tree were planted. The event was held on Saturday morning.
