The first phase was completed over the summer, which widened Springhill from Highway 41 to 7th St and also added a turn lane.
Once the Springhill widening project is finished, commissioners have plans for a third phase.
“Hopefully in the future phase three will from 63 to 41. We’ll try to widen that down there with the soccer fields and everything we have,” explained Commissioner President Brad Anderson. “We have a lot more traffic and try to make it safer for that down there.”
The county is waiting for property to be purchased and designs to be drawn before work can begin on phase two.
