TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Families from all over the country will be in Terre Haute this weekend for the ISU Under Armour Pre-National Invitational.”
The event will take place at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
A total of 88 men’s teams and 87 women’s teams from all corners of the United States will be competing.
According to the Terre Haute Convention and Visitors Bureau, hotel rooms throughout Vigo and surrounding counties.
“Out here today there’s Minnesota, Florida State’s right behind us, Iona, Campbell University, North Carolina,” said Terre Haute Convention and Visitor Bureau’s executive director David Patterson. “Just all across the United States so these people carry away a good message of our community and what we stand for.”
Patterson estimated about 1,500 athletes will take part in tomorrow’s events with around 2,000 to 3,000 spectators watching.
