TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Rose-Hulman has reached a milestone with construction of its new academic building on campus.
Crews raised a steel beam Thursday and attached it to complete the highest point of the project.
Additional steel beams will be added in the coming weeks to complete the building’s infrastructure.
The $29 million 70,000 square foot building is located on the east sdie of campus.
It will have collaboration workspaces, design studios, flexible classrooms, chemistry labs and spaces for faculty innovation.
The project is slated to be completed for the 2021-2022 school year. A $15 million lead gift from an anonymous donor is supporting the project.
