TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Local students are getting help figuring out the path they want to take after high school.
Terre Haute South Vigo High School hosted the 2019 Career and College Fair on Tuesday.
Over 700 students from 12 Wabash Valley high schools attended the event.
They met with representatives from over 40 colleges, local unions and five military branches.
The event also helps the teens learn about financial aid, something that is top of mind for many students.
“Definitely that is one of the number one concerns for students, so the better prepared they can be to understand the costs, how to plan to afford the costs, what are the scholarship opportunities, what are the combination of work and scholarship opportunities,” explains District Counselor Coach Fern Edwards. “How can we make this affordable and how can we make this happen?”
The event is coordinated by the Vigo County School Corporation.
