They recognized some community members, an educator, and two students who stood out for their amount of hours they gave up to volunteer for their community.
Interim director for the Human Relations Commission, Linda Lambert, said “Well we hear a lot of bad things in my experiences in this office and through life. There are so many good people who work so hard to help others and to improve the community and i think this is the way we take a evening and honor them.”
Thursday evening was the commission’s 10th anniversary.
