The home being built on 13 ½ street is the 71st home built by Habitat for Humanity and the third forISU student volunteers.
Around 30 students came out to lay down the floors of the home and prepare the raising of one of its walls.
According to Habitat for Humanity, it usually takes around four to six months to complete the building of a home, depending on the weather.
Students said for them, it’s a rewarding experience to be able to give back to the community in such a big way.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing this family have a smile on their face and i’m also looking for the knowledge to see what it’s like to help out a community,” said ISU student, Adam Spartz.
When the home is complete, it will be given to the Manalaysay family.
