JASPER COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – A Robinson, Illinois, man is facing charges after a wreck in Jasper County.
It happened on E 400th Avenue west of N 2125th Street early Friday morning.
Illinois State Police say 24-year-old Payton Z. Stifle of Robinson was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed and hit a steep slope in the roadway.
The vehicle skidded out of control, left the road and overturned several times into a tree line.
Stifle and his passenger 22-year-old Blake Bell of Oblong were transported to the hospital.
Stifle faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
