EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — An armed robbery suspect was last seen running from Illinois Route 1 near the Crawford and Lawrence county line , according to Illinois State Police.
ISP issued a warning on Facebook advising residents in the area to avoid picking up hitchhikers, lock car doors and keep house doors locked.
The suspect was described by police as a black male wearing a white tank top and shorts.
Anyone with information should call 911.
