Bradley Latch, 31, appeared in Edgar County Court Monday on two charges of arson and one charge of criminal damage to property.
Attorney William McGrath was appointed to represent Latch.
According to the Paris Police Department, the arrest stemmed from a call of a residential fire at 420 W. Washington Street Thursday. When authorities arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.
Following an investigation, authorities determined arson was the likely cause of the fire.
Latch is currently being held at the Edgar County Jail pending posting of $20,000 bond.
