Spectacle Enterainment signed a letter of intent with Hard Rock Cafe to franchise the Terre Haute casino that the corporation is interested in establishing.
The franchise opportunity could help in an effort to gain a leg up on casino competition in Danville, Illinois. The state of Illinois recently approved a casino for the Danville area.
It should really, one help Indiana compete with Illinois to capture the Wabash River Valley area. And two, proivde a quality product for everybody within that area.”

Indiana State University student Ethan Thomas said the City does not have much to offer when school is out, so a Hard Rock branded casino could be interesting.
Being in Terre Haute with not necessarily a lot to do, if you throw something in the area witha bunch of misilanious activities i think people will really be drawn to it.”

Hard Rock has 12 branded casinos throughout the US. Adding a 13th casino could be good for the casino, the corporation and the community, according to Keeler.

Spectacle Entertainment will have to be awarded the license of Hard Rock by the Indiana Gaming Commission.
Before Spectacle Entertainment and Hard Rock Café can build a casino in Terre Haute, residents still have to vote on whether or not they want a casino to come to Vigo County.
The question will appear on the November ballot for Vigo County residents.
