SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – An iconic restaurant in downtown Sullivan celebrates a grand opening with new owners.
Bryan and Jessika Hane are the new owners of the Newsstand Diner.
They celebrated Wednesday with a ribbon cutting and grand opening lunch special.
They’re excited to get involved with the restaurant which has been in operation since 1947.
“It’s just such an icon for Sullivan and we’re so glad to make sure that it remains on the square for everyone to create memories,” says Jessika.
Bryan adds, “I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to as I went around that told me about their memories of being little kids here. We’re really looking forward to helping that next generation to carry on those same memories.”
The couple plans on keeping the menu very much the same and they say any change would be based on what customers want.
