SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Local students got an up-close look at the animal kingdom on Wednesday.
Hedgehog Hannah is an educational, exotic animal show.
The program traveled to Sullivan Middle School and brought some very special guests along.
Students got to see several animals, including a snake and a turtle.
Kindergarten teachers Brandy Gentry and Carrie Baker say the kids were really excited to learn about these critters.
“We can’t go to the zoo because it’s in Indianapolis,” Gentry says. “Some of our kids will never go to the zoo, so we bring the zoo to them.”
Baker adds, “it’s very hands-on, very educational. It’s just something really neat to be able to explore these animals.”
Hedgehog Hannah is based out of the Indianapolis area.
