TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A Culver’s representative confirmed to WTWO/WAWV Wednesday that a Terre Haute location is “in the works.”
Known for fresh frozen custard and ButterBurgers, Culver’s first opened in 1984 in Wisconsin. Since that time, the company has grown to more than 650 restaurants in 24 states.
An official location has not been announced, but the city engineering department has received proposed plans for the restaurant, according to Mark Maurer, assistant city engineer. He said they expect to finish reviewing the plans by the end of next week.
While the restaurant is still in its planning stage for Terre Haute, the website boasts that each restaurant employes between 30 and 75 team members, including seasonal positions, and that each establishment seats around 98 to 118 guests.
