TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The former golf course located at 500 West Honey Creek Drive in Terre Haute has been chosen as the site for the new Vigo County Jail.
The decision was made Tuesday by a consensus of the Board of Commissioners of Vigo County, according to a news release from the county.
A resolution will be sent to the Vigo County Council for approval during the May 14 meeting.
The 22.21 acre lot will cost approximately $510,800.
